MBI/mface

Dear Sir,
We refer to your email below and thank you for the information provided.
Please be informed that neither MBI International nor Mface are licensed by the Securities Commission Malaysia (“SC”) to conduct regulated activities under the Capital Market and Services Act 2007 (“CMSA”).
In general, schemes and activities of a different nature are regulated by different agencies in Malaysia. SC is one of the agencies and we are responsible for regulating and developing the securities and derivatives markets in Malaysia. A list of activities regulated by SC can be found in Schedule 2 of the CMSA. Should you feel that the company is involved in dealing in securities or derivatives, or investment advice or fund management services relating to securities or derivatives, please submit the relevant information to us for our further assessment.
Based on our review, the scheme offered by MBI/Mface may have elements of multi-level marketing (“MLM”) and deposit taking. Multi-level marketing schemes fall under the purview of the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Co-Operatives and Consumerism (“KPDNKK”), who can be contacted via email at e-aduan@kpdnkk.gov.my or via telephone at 1-800-886-800. Deposit taking activities fall under the purview of Bank Negara Malaysia (“BNM”). BNM can be contacted at 1-300-88-5465 or via e-mail at bnmtelelink@bnm.gov.my.
We, however would like to take this opportunity to remind investors to always be vigilant and responsible and give due consideration before making any investment choices. This would include verifying whether the company or individual is licensed by the appropriate regulator for the activities being carried out or services offered. In addition, please bear in mind the following to protect yourself:
• Remember the golden rule - if the scheme sounds too good to be true, it's probably not true
• Check with the relevant authorities before investing/ depositing;
• Don't be pressured or rushed to invest;
• Be extra careful with investments over the internet;
• Be sceptical of any investment opportunity that is not in writing; and
• In case an investment has been made, keep copies of all the investment and communications.r>Should you need further clarification from the SC, you may contact us at 03-6204-8999.
Thank you.
Regards,
Mohd Sahrilnizam Mohd Amin
